The best part about my job would be the opportunity to experience different elements of the business through the rotations to see what you are really interested in or are particularly good at.

6.30 AM

Time to get up, have some breakfast and get dressed. Most importantly, I must feed my dog Oscar and give him some pats before I head to work.

Essential Energy

7.15 AM

I jump into the car and head down the street to get a coffee so I can get through the morning.

7.30 AM

I get to the depot and say good morning to everyone. I will often overhear the toolbox talk that the field staff do each morning which is an overview of what they need to do throughout the day, check in to see how each team member is feeling and discuss any safety issues that need to be addressed.

8.00 AM

I check in with my manager to see whether any business requests have come through yesterday that need to be worked on. If there are any, I will get to work on developing reports or doing data analysis for other departments to use.

9.00 AM

The finance team has an end of month catch up meeting to update the team about any errors or data problems that may have occurred from the previous day or overnight.

Off to get some lunch. Normally I pack lunch but today its down the street for some sushi. I do a quick shop at Woolworths to grab something for dinner and some more treats for Oscar.

1.00 PM

Each Monday, we have a catch-up with the other graduates to check in to see how we are doing. We also do some practice presentations to prepare us for when we have to present to the Executive Leadership Team about the tasks we have completed in our rotation as well as what we have achieved.
