5.30 AM

Wake up and battle myself to walk to Coogee and partake in a Coogee community ice bath by the beach followed by a sunrise swim in the ocean. While it’s a bit fresh first thing in the morning, the ocean’s temperature doesn’t fluctuate too much and regardless of how I felt before, I feel rejuvenated and alert as soon as I touch the water likening to a spa (courtesy of the icebath).

7.30 AM

Pack my Muay Thai gear (pending the day), light procrastination and catch the first of 2 buses from Randwick – City – North Sydney.

8.30 AM

Arrive at work, check my emails, and shadow an Account Manager in my team regarding how to prepare invoices for one of the renewals he had coming up

10:00 AM

Rendezvous with one of the graduates who is in a similar rotation to me for a coffee and a discussion about what we have been learning considering we only moved into the corporate team 2 days ago. Get back to work and read some policy schedules, analysing the intricacies between each one.

12.30 PM

Go for my lunch break and enjoy a crispy pork banh mi and some chicken wings. I am very happy with my food selection full knowing a solid lunch can make a good day a great day.

1.30 PM

Return to work and join in on my first meeting for the corporate team, learning about the clients that are up for renewal and what each team member has on their agenda.

2.30 PM

5:00 PM

Leave for Muay Thai and enjoy the Huberman lab podcast in the meantime, learning about the scientific explanation for good sleep (most of it went over my head).

6.15 PM

Begin Muay Thai and enjoy some light sparring, pad and bag work. The focus of this lesson being turning your hip over for extra whip on your kicks and tying this in to the back of my combinations as I struggle mixing in all limbs.

7.30 – 10.30 PM

Enjoy a hot shower, cook myself a traditional carbonara but add peas for some type of nutritional value. Iron my shirt for the next day and enjoy a well-deserved relax in front of my laptop, watching the new Peaky Blinders.
