GTR was founded in 2005 and has served more than 550 corporate clients including Asian University for Women, Azim Group, Clifton Group, Unilever and Walmart. As of 2019, the company employs more than 100 people at its two offices in Chittagong and Dhaka.

The company specialises in Human Resource Management System software solutions, as well as providing Access Control, Attendance and Payroll Systems, Apparel CAD/CAM Solutions, Intelligent Fire Alarm Systems, Smart Online UPS Solutions and LED Lightening Solutions.

The recruitment process

The company posts job advertisements on its website. GTR will only contact shortlisted candidates for interviews.

Career prospects

Internship opportunities are usually available for .Net software developers. The company prefers male graduates with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering from a reputable university. Alternatively, those with at least two years of programming experience can also apply for the role. Applicants with an advanced level of English will have more opportunities within the company.

A senior executive or executive in marketing and sales for the apparel CAD division must have excellent communication skills in English and Bengali. You should have a Bachelor of Science in EEE to be considered for this role, although GTR prefers candidates with a BBA or an MBA Major in Marketing.

Executives and senior executives for the company’s fire & life safety system must be strongly skilled in English and Bengali as well. GTR accepts applicants with a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering/Mechanical, but you’ll have better chances of being hired if you have an MBA in marketing with a diploma in engineering.

GTR also invites fresh graduates to apply for other roles including graphic designers, junior programmers and executives in the accounts and finance department. The company accepts male and female applicants for these positions.

GTR provides annual salary appraisals, festival bonus and lunch subsidies to employees. You can also negotiate your salary once you receive a job offer. The company applies an age restriction for some roles. For instance, graphic designers are usually between 22 and 28 years old while some programmers are not more than 30 years old.
