Culture at MYOB

9.4
9.4 rating for Culture, based on 15 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
We have a very open structure at MYOB - it isn’t too heavy and encourages working across verticals together (helix model) Culture is really collaborative. Spread across 8 locations (4 mains offices) in ANZ. We have communities within the organisation that allow us to bring our whole selves to work; planet, environment, belonging and pride. Our SLT are approachable, visible and get invoked with teams. Our values at MYOB are evident across team, business and events inside and outside work (innovative, collaborative, passion etc)

Other graduates both in the office and in other locations. Regular catchups across locations and cohorts. Also regular interactions from higher ranking people within in organisation (i.e. Meeting with CTO during O week)

Incredibly approachable and inclusive company culture.

Friendly and social culture which lots of opportunities related to non-work stuff. For instance, there is a photography club where members share pictures they are proud of. All in all, there are plenty of opportunities to interact with both the cohort and the wider company.

Thé culture is great both in office and after hours - people tend to be very respectful and friendly toward each other, and enjoy socialising. The culture is non hierarchical, coworkers collaborate and share resources readily with each other.

Everyone is really nice and friendly. There are often internal events (PRIDE, morning teas, inter office connections etc). People like to have fun but work hard. The SLT and ELT are always sharing in updates and we have an open structure so it doesn't feel like we are 'at the bottom' of the ladder. Leadership is approachable and FMA is really awesome to be in.

In the graduate program the culture is really welcoming and open. We only spend one day a week in the office so because of this I tend to spend the whole day socialising, be it pairing /mobbing on code or just chatting and getting food and coffee. All of this is condoned by our managers, they like that we bond/network during these times. Our managers aren't in Melbourne but when we do see them they're very easy to approach and are always down to hang out after hours. People in Melbourne also hang out after hours, but it's not mandatory and it tends to be with the people you're closest to. Although our company does have a hierarchal structure managers (DMs/EMs) from other teams are really friendly and approachable, especially to us grads who might want to network with them to find a permanent position in one of their teams in the future.

Very friendly and outgoing people.
Midlevel, Melbourne
Flexible arrangement which is great for parents, company is not petty in micro-managing employee's time. Everyone is trusted to be responsible for our own time and to add value to the company. Managers of all levels are approachable and ready to assist. The company also has a very strong mentoring culture for all interns and graduates.

No expectation to take work home. They value work life balance. Socialising at lunch and after work between different teams. It is easy to meet and network with people. No gatekeepers.
