How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
Yes, SLT are accessible and open to questions and forums. We have quarterly recognition awards, 90 day planning cycles with OKR setting and reflection. Great strategies in play.

Great communication, good built in measures to ensure regular check ins. Lots of 1-1 time with a mentor.

As a person I think my direct manager is a nice and fun person who's easy to talk to and great to hang with after hours but as a manager she has not been doing that good of a job. I think she's very overwhelmed with her workload and because of that she never responds to messages and meetings with her (if it's even possible to get one, I haven't had one with her in months) are rushed and feel as though she's not really present. She also sometimes forgets who I am and never gives performance feedback, praise or recognition.

Yes great mentors and management available

We have a mixed system of managers and mentors. Our managers are really people persons. They are our cheerleaders, always encouraging and motivating. Our mentors are our technical managers that help develop our technical skills and OKRs are done with mentors. Mentors dedicate a lot of their time to help us in our journey and from day 1 they are like our personal cheerleaders!

Very positive line-managers. Always open to communication and impromptu catch ups. They don't have a technical background which means they can't necessarily relate to our blockers, but they do try to empathise and that's what's important.
