The coolest thing about my job is working in an inclusive and collaborative environment. Everyone shares the same vision and there is always professional growth.

The types of tasks I enjoy the most are when I’m collaborating with clients to achieve great outcomes, the best feeling is getting a resource consent granted with minimal further requests of information from council.

Designing buildings and leaving a legacy in a city gives me satisfaction in my role. It’s such a great feeling to complete a project and move on to the next challenge.

Just having a good degree is no longer enough to secure that all-important graduate offer in today's world. Getting work experience is an essential aspect of starting your career as a young graduate.

A balanced lifestyle is the key to success. Work hard but also take some time to hang out with friends, play with your pet or go for a run. 

I wanted to work for NSW Treasury because I saw that it offered a massively broad range of interesting and relevant work.

As a structural engineer, I am responsible for the safety of people who are the end users of my designs.
