This environment allowed me the try things and get feedback on them, achieving my goals of designing assessable content.

The best thing about my job is the relationships I get to grow – with colleagues, stakeholders, and with places. I have learned so much from spending time with people, visiting new Country and hearing stories.

We have team training sessions weekly to cover new topics or refresh relevant areas of knowledge. In an area where there is constant change and development, you need to be willing to keep learning and developing.

There are definitely a lot of ways you could contribute to the ABS, so don’t let a narrow view of what we do hold you back.

I love being able to rotate through the agency to get a clearer idea of how the overall agency operates. It has also helped me try out jobs to see if they are a good fit for me or not. It is very cool to be in Canberra too, it feels like I am in the heart of the nation’s politics and press, and that can feel exciting.
