Being the successful recipient of the Stepping Into internship not only afforded valuable public sector work experience, but it broke down the remaining barrier in my journey of recovery by confidently launching me into the workforce. It was an amazing, life changing experience!

It’s fascinating learning about not just what separate agencies do on a day-to-day basis, but also how they work together towards a common goal.

Everyone is new at some point, and you aren’t expected to always get things right the first time – however, try not to repeat the same mistakes – learn and adapt!

My grandmother worked for the Department of Justice and I noticed how respected she was by the community. I’m glad I am here continuing that legacy.

I am part of the XPLAN delivery team that develops and offers technical solutions to stockbrokers, financial institutions and research analysts.

The thing I love most about ATO is that the work we do has real-world implications and impact on the community. I had the opportunity to speak to the employees and hear their stories firsthand and achieve meaningful results for them.
