Ryman’s programme was also the most appealing because I could see different ways where I could utilise all areas of my study, which was hugely appealing.

I love the opportunities that we have been given. I feel like the grads aren’t just a tick of the box kind of thing and we’re actually really valued.

Given the end result of a deal can be life-changing financially for our clients, it is incredibly rewarding to help contribute towards that end goal, where they are able to realise the value of the result of years of their sacrifices, investment and hard work!

In my current role, I get to shape other people’s careers, I love delivering the good news that people have got the job, I feel like it really makes their day, and it makes my day,

I applied to a program called Tuputoa which offers Māori and Pacific Island students internships in the summer which landed me an interview with Deloitte. Since then, I received an offer as a graduate and have now been at Deloitte for 6 months and am loving every second of it.

Some of the most important skills are being able to get on with people, a hunger to learn and being open to new experiences.

I decided to apply for Ryman because they have a good reputation and made helping residents live their best lives a priority.
