One of the most interesting things about being based on site is the opportunity to see how my work contributes to the operation as a whole

My main project over the course of my vacation program included creating a commercial induction for the departments onsite, as well as helping with the changeover of accounts payable (AP) systems.

The coolest thing about my job is getting to work with many stakeholders across such a span of the mine lifecycle. We are involved in exploration planning, long and short-term mine planning, operations, hazard management and mine closure.

Every day I feel satisfied that I am contributing to bringing about a positive change for the world within the clean energy space and within the impactful mining industry.

Working on site comes with its own challenges! However, at the end of the day I always feel a massive sense of accomplishment.

Sometimes I’ll fail, but by refining my work, I’m able to succeed in ideas that I thought were otherwise impossible. Better yet, after learning skills in the office, I’m able to apply them to my studies.
