The coolest thing has probably been learning more about IT systems. Because this wasn’t my background, I’ve done a lot of listening to learn, and it’s been great to get more insight into the systems that drive business today.

Some of the most important skills are being able to get on with people, a hunger to learn and being open to new experiences.

I am working with Inland Revenue (Te Tari Taake), the public service department of New Zealand to advise the government on tax policy, collect and disburse payments for social support programmes, and collect taxes.

Make time for yourself. Your own happiness and wellbeing should come first and foremost. Always make time to relax and do something you enjoy no matter how busy you are.

I am involved in both internal & external projects; this has helped me learn more about IR. Last but not the least, we have a great team culture. We share our learnings, work collaboratively & support each other.
