As an analyst, I crunch the data that supports the team's ideas while preparing the material we present to clients.

I work at an actuarial and data analytics consulting firm. Our work is project-based and our clients consist of insurers, reinsurers, Government agencies and corporates.

The coolest thing has probably been learning more about IT systems. Because this wasn’t my background, I’ve done a lot of listening to learn, and it’s been great to get more insight into the systems that drive business today.

Some of the most important skills are being able to get on with people, a hunger to learn and being open to new experiences.

The opportunity to work closely with senior executives across a broad range of companies is a fantastic opportunity as a junior and a unique element of this job.

Daily work is quite varied – clients can range from large self-insurers to overseas insurance start-ups to local listed insurers.
