In my role as a Graduate, I am not just given the work that no one else wants, instead I am encouraged to take on projects and share my ideas.

Through the grad programme, you get exposure to a bunch of different products and get the chance to work on a project with a mentor, so before having “real” responsibilities, you go through six weeks of learning and applying skills.

Grades are important, but the main thing is driving opportunities for yourself - social, professional or otherwise.

The diversity of work that is available to do is incredibly vast. No bug that needs fixing or new feature that needs adding will feel monotonous.

The knowledge and skills you gain are not just from school, learning is a lifelong process and you must have a lust for learning, and most importantly, be able to persist.

Throughout my time at Jarden, I have worked with CEOs and CFOs from leading companies in a range of industries needing different solutions to complex problems.
