The easiest path may not always be the most exciting. If you’re fortunate enough to have free electives, make them count!

The tasks that I undertake and the projects I have been given, have given me a real chance to challenge myself and prove my abilities.

The construction industry was out of my comfort zone when I first started (and a little now, I’m still learning) so most of the experiences I have had here are a first for me!

Celebrate the small wins: staying positive and focussing on the little things improves your mood and keeps you motivated.

Diversify yourself and allow personal experimentation and flexibility. Refuse to conform to stereotypes or expectations: go against the grain and be unique.

I design how a customer can connect to the grid and for example if that customer’s dream was to always open their own bakery, I can help to achieve that person’s dream.

We are given a lot of flexibility in our Graduate Program to shape our experience and take on rotations that are interesting to us.

A highlight of my role so far was writing the programming behind the new EnviroPunnet sealing machine.
