Don’t discount your other work experiences that aren’t corporate-based – focus on the skills they’ve given you instead, these soft skills are always transferrable and relevant.

I had exposure to the diverse warehousing and transport operations at Linfox.

The construction industry was out of my comfort zone when I first started (and a little now, I’m still learning) so most of the experiences I have had here are a first for me!

It could have been challenging to juggle my family and work life if Hydro Tasmania didn’t value diversity and flexibility.

I love that my job still requires an application of electrical engineering theory – in some roles I have definitely had to dust off the old university textbooks and brush up on some concepts. The application of this theory and realising it out in the field is very rewarding.
