You are an adviser, a counsellor, a cheerleader, a boundary-setter, and on any given day you can be both the best and worst person in the world (if your students had any say, that is!).

It’s really rewarding knowing the things you are working on will be used to shape the future education systems of Australia.

My particular role includes tracking large-scale renewable energy power stations and any relevant announcements.

I was given the opportunity to apply my own solutions to challenging problems and learning from my mistakes.

Everyone in the department brings their own skill sets and knowledge to the different teams.

Working in the public service means being exposed to a variety of subject areas and being flexible to changing priorities and work.
