Over my 25-year journey at Unilab, from starting as an Assistant QA Inspector to now serving as an Assistant Manager in the Medical and Regulatory Group of Unilab Consumer Health, I have experienced the transformative power of Bayanihan and Husay at Malasakit

The opportunity to work on large projects with experts from different fields to deliver a project that serves the community. It is fascinating to follow these projects from their inception, overcome any challenges that arise, and witness their progress.

A high effort grade is more important than an A+.

The easiest path may not always be the most exciting. If you’re fortunate enough to have free electives, make them count!

The tasks that I undertake and the projects I have been given, have given me a real chance to challenge myself and prove my abilities.

Don’t discount your other work experiences that aren’t corporate-based – focus on the skills they’ve given you instead, these soft skills are always transferrable and relevant.

The construction industry was out of my comfort zone when I first started (and a little now, I’m still learning) so most of the experiences I have had here are a first for me!
