My role at IMC is a value-based market-making (VMM) options trader on the Kospi 200 index with a specific focus on broker trading and relationships.

Good work and good ideas stand on their own merit, regardless of your seniority. People are encouraged to always push the envelope, looking for potential value to be added or ways to improve the status quo.

If you crave excitement, then trading is a great job for you. A trader’s day is dictated by news events happening in the world, and what other market participants trade against us each day – we never really know what is going to unfold.

My role as a Quant Trader is to research, monitor and improve new and existing trading strategies.

I really enjoy the level of collaboration and teamwork that I have in my role – since working here I’ve done projects with almost every team.

I honestly had so much fun learning from, and working with, other employees at Akuna. I also made friends with some amazing interns and juniors. I have never met a group of people who are so ambitious and competitive, yet so supportive of each other.

I manage the day-to-day operation of a trading strategy and look to analyse the performance of the strategy and seek to expand and develop it into the future.

I enjoy the entrepreneurial approach to trading at SIG. Traders are encouraged to come up with their own ideas and are helped to execute and evaluate them afterwards.
