The programme gives you the chance to try so many different roles that you wouldn’t get to normally do.

One thing that drew me to applying for the graduate programme at Contact is that they offer specialised work in some very unique places. For me, the ability to live in Central Otago on the Clutha River comes with the benefits of skiing, biking, surfing, hiking, all in some very sweet scenery. 

Bravely try new things. To accumulate experience in continuous attempts. Never be afraid and resist new things, because most likely you will have fun and find satisfaction in them.

Aspects of internal business processes are things that my degree has given me background on, so I have supplemented my role, but it’s been more of a learning experience so far.

Some of the most important skills are being able to get on with people, a hunger to learn and being open to new experiences.

Every ‘no’ is one step closer to a ‘yes’, so don’t let the rejections bring you down. Keep pushing forward and show your worth.
