LGBTQ+ at Australia Post

We proudly welcome and support people of any sexual orientation, gender identity or intersex status.

We spend a lot of time at work and we want to ensure our team members feel included, safe and respected. There are a variety of ways that Australia Post supports LGBTIQ+ team members.

Post Pride Network
An employee resource group that provides a safe space for team members to connect and provides communications specific to LGBTQI+ and opportunities to participate in local events.

Rainbow Peer Support Group
A listen and referral service made up of a group of LGBTQI+ team members and allies from across the organisation.

Specialised support
Speak with a specialist counsellor and access support across issues specific to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual or Intersex people. You can also discuss referrals to specialised services and access general information and resources.

Our PostPride network of LGBTQI+ employees and allies has grown over the past few years to many hundreds of people.

We support events such as:

  • Midsumma Festival in Victoria
  • International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT)
  • Wear It Purple Day

Our people have marched under the PostPride banner at Pride marches in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Dubbo, and have participated in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Fair Day.
